College Entrance Exam

  Seniors many colleges now offer a priority deadline on scholarships. What does this mean? Schools such as OU, OSU, Cameron University, etc… Now require scholarship applications and entrance applaciations to be done by NOV 1. Please check your College and make sure of the application dates and Scholarship dates.

OCCC Rolling application Free Academic Scholars Program-March 1st, OCCC Tuition Waiver Program- March 1st, OKCGo Program- July 15th. This program is available to eligible high school graduates from Oklahoma City Public High Schools and Western Heights Public High School. The following are the high school’s eligible for OKCGo: Astec, Capitol Hill, Centennial, Classen SAS, Dove Science Academy, Douglass, Emerson, Harding Preparatory Charter, Harding Fine Arts Academy, John Marshall, Northeast Academy, Northwest Classen, Pathways, Santa Fe South, S.A.V.E. OPSU Rolling Application February 15th
Oklahoma City University To be considered for merit-based schoalrships: March 1st For all competitive scholarships February 1st. (Clara Luper, American Indian Scholar, etc…), National Merit/National Achievement Awards: December 1st.
University of Central Oklahoma Rolling Application February 1st 5PM completed application with answered essay questions, FAFSA, high school transcript, and ACT/SAT Scores for consideration
OSU-Stillwater Apply all the way till classes begin of interested term (not recommeded) complete application early for scholarships. Scholarship deadlines are Early Opprotunity-November 1st, Final deadline February 1st, and Deadline to update ACT scores/GPA for assured schoalrships July 1st.

Rose State College No Application Deadline Leadership Scholarship opens January 1 and closes March 1, Other Scholarships due April 1.
     

The ACT is an exam that all students wishing to attend college must take to enter a college or university. Listed below are the college minimums that a student must score on the Act to enter those schools.

Community Colleges

No minimum required.  You don't need to make certain scores, but you should take required high school classes AND graduated from an accredited high school or have a GED AND take the ACT exam.

 

 

It is recommended that a student take the ACT several times in order to receive the highest score before applying for scholarships or for acceptance to and that they are interested in attending.
