AR CHALLENGE

Students MUST have increased thier AR points by Thursday, Jan 30 to get a full grade in the reading AR slot. Students have really been increasing thier reading and testing this week to avoid the consequence of getting a 0 in the slot. I am very confident that every student will meet this simple goal. Please encourage your students to read thier library books for enjoyment and don't forget to test! :) Ms. D

I am on my 3 book of a series in the library and would not have known how wonderful the series was without a student letting me know the books existed. Even adults can share in the fun of reading. :)

SCHOOL UPDATE

PLEASE CHECK YOUR STUDENT'S BACK PACK FOR THE WEATHER CALL INFORMATION WITH THE INCLEMENT WEATHER APPROACHING. THE GREEN LEAF TOURNAMENT WAS CANCELLED AND PLAYED ALL TODAY TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE. MR. CURRY HAS ESTABLISHED THIS SYSTEM TO HELP PARENTS AND FRIENDS KNOW RELIABLY WHEN SCHOOL IS CANCELLED. SEE THE NOTE FOR DETAILS. THANKS AND STAY SAFE! Ms. D

SCHOOL BREAK AND CHRISTMAS PARTY/ WINTER PARTY

DEC 20 we will have our Winter/Christmas party and we are asking that each student bring an unopened, new item appropriate for a 6th grade student. Please have it wrapped, if not, I do have some wrapping paper. Please try to be fair and keep the item between 5-6 dollars if you can. This ensures that no one get thier feelings hurt or feels bad about what they get, although Christmas is about the spirit of GIVING, so we will be playing the giving game instead of dirty santa. It has a great concept I will share with you later. From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving, and God Bless each of you all and see you back Dec 2, of course at any time you can FB me or call my cell if needed 918-261-7888, everyone stay safe and get well and have fun tonight at the DANCE. :) Lots of love to you all kiddo's. Be good to your family. :) Ms. D

THANKSGIVING DINNER IS TOMORROW

Parents are welcome tomorrow to eat with students for Thanksgiving Dinner. It is at 10:55 for 6th grade's new lunch time. You must purchase the price of an adult tray and sit with your student. Thanksgiving Dinner is always one of the BEST meals that we have here at Porum. The cafeteria workers go all out and make it extra special. For that I am thankful!  :) Hope to see you tomorrow.
